I recently had the opportunity to try one of ivadore®’s latest products - it’s their Body Combat Scrub1 and is a perfect compliment to their fantastic Tanning Treatment.
Ivadore market Body Combat as “more than just a scrub” that claims to exfoliate, moisturise and repair the skin in addition to reducing the appearance of cellulite and easing the symptoms of eczema and other skin conditions.
It contains a range of organic ingredients (some certified) such as coconut oil, sunflower seed oil, and rice powder complimented by natural ingredients such as polished coconut shell, fig extract, coffee arabica seed oil and Italian orange oil.
These ingredients are variously included to assist with moisturising, healing and polishing the skin while some increase collagen production, have anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties while hydrating the skin.
So far so good, however I am generally sceptical when products claim to reduce the appearance of cellulite - I mean, how much do you need, how long do you need to use it for and how much of a reduction does it provide?
So I was a bit shocked and pleasantly surprised that I did notice a reduction in cellulite on my thighs and after a relatively short period of time. It hasn’t completely eradicated this scourge of the modern woman and honestly ensuring a clean diet and plenty of fresh water intake can assist the efforts of using this scrub. Even my husband commented on the condition of my legs after using this product.
Ease of Use
The product is easy to apply while showering, although for best results apply to damp skin and leave on for 5-10 minutes to gain the maximum effectiveness of key ingredients. It does leave a bit of a mess in the shower though, so make sure you wash down your shower base and screen if necessary after use.
I found the product very effective as a scrub and as a prep for later application of the Tanning Treatment. The improvement in skin tone and cellulite appearance was also welcome. I suspect continued and consistent use would provide further benefits in this area. It smooths and softens the skin and the Italian orange oil smells divine.
At RRP of $35, this represents fair value, especially considering the cost of many certified organic ingredients these days. Peace of mind is priceless.
A range of certified organic, organic and natural ingredients provides ease of mind when considering the harmful effects and buildup in the body of chemical ingredients which are often found in other products of this type.
1I was sent this product at no cost for the purposes of reviewing the products.
