Our 50th Issue is out now!

Our theme for this, our 50th issue, is Celebrating Women, and as March 8 is International Women’s Day, we’ve decided to dedicate the whole month of this, our milestone issue, to women around the world. After several stops and starts last century, the world is waking up to the fact that women are not only bright, capable, intelligent and deserving of the same opportunities as everyone else, but when they are honoured for their gifts, the world is a better place for all. Everyone has a mother, and many have sisters, aunts, daughters, cousins, grandmothers, female friends and mentors...

Beware of Labels

Many of us have people in our lives -- family, friends, coworkers, neighbors -- whose choices in life have led them down a dark path of self-destruction, often in the form of substance abuse or other addictions, self-neglect and sorrow, sometimes leading to deep depression or worse. Playing Above The Line

What does it mean to be "playing above the line"? To me it means having a responsiveness to all the events that occur in my world - behaving as if I can do something about it, even if I choose to do nothing. If I believe I am at cause for everything in my life, I can at least have the option to...

Say It and See It

'I figured that if I said it enough, I would convince the world that I really was the greatest.' - Muhammad Ali Affirmations are statements that you make to yourself that you wish to be true.
