You Are a High Achiever!

by Feb 10, 2015

Are you a high achiever? Well yes you are, whether you think so or not. You see, every person on the planet can and does achieve exactly what they want.

Now whether what you’re achieving is what you tell yourself you want to achieve or not is not really the point. You always have a distinct intention and sometimes you are not wholly aware of what that intention is.

You would have to agree with me that you always get a result from whatever action you take, yes?

And you even sometimes get the result that your conscious mind intended, okay.

But I want you to look at those times when you ‘failed’ and see what you succeeded at, what you achieved. It may not be pretty to look at one’s results in this way but it is extremely freeing if you’re willing to do so.

Often that part of our mind that we’re not always totally aware of, that part that does a gazillion things under the surface of our consciousness, has a plan for us.

It may be that we sacrifice our results to help someone we’re close to, or to not be seen as ‘better’ than anyone else. We may have been discouraged at a young age to not outshine a favoured brother or sister, and our young brains are no match for the mystique of participation in such behaviours that many families engage in. We may be terrified at what it means if we succeed spectacularly, at what changes that might bring, what extra responsibilities come with the role of victor. We are hardwired to our comforts after all, which is why addictive behaviours in our society and culture are through the roof.

If you’re a Type ‘A’ personality you may be wondering what the hell I am going on about. I mean, Type ‘A’ ’s are always achieving their goals and intentions in spades aren't they?

But, if you're a Type ‘A', if you are completely honest, there will be times when you’ve told yourself you failed. And you probably beat yourself up ten times worse than anyone else.

We always succeed at getting a result and even though we may not be consciously aware of the reason for the results we are getting, there is definitely another plan at work and a benefit somewhere there for you.

So give yourself a pat on the back – you are a powerful co-creator in your life and although you may not always perceive the warp and the weft of the pattern that is operating under the surface, be certain that you are achieving a lot.

With this awareness comes the ability to shift your results in line with what your conscious mind would prefer – but if you tell yourself you keep failing then you may end up staying stuck in that place for a very long time.

Why not decide instead to succeed and achieve as a conscious choice?
