Energetic Healing After Miscarriage

The path to parenthood often presents unforeseen hurdles that take their toll on us both physically and emotionally. After experiencing miscarriage, whilst the physical healing can pass relatively quickly, the need for emotional healing sometimes goes unacknowledged or is pushed back for another time.

Energy is our life force, and miscarriage can create an energy blockage that prevents us from feeling our best and manifesting our healthy desires.

It is an incredibly personal journey, but one that can be assisted by energetic healing once you open your mind to the possibility. There is no right time, one path, or set duration for a healing journey. It is simply yours to explore. The following approaches can assist you heal and resume your normal flow of energy.

Nourish

Nourish your body with plenty of water and fresh wholefoods, your mind with positive thoughts and your soul with deep reflection and connection. Become conscious of the conditions you might be placing on your happiness and free yourself from these. Make happiness a daily choice, not something that comes with your next healthy pregnancy. Surrender regularly in stress relieving rituals that nurture you and relight your fire.

Get Moving

Physical movement assists your body get in the flow. It creates energy, uses energy and simply gets your juices flowing. Whatever flicks your exercise switch is the right thing for you. Walking, yoga, swimming, surfing, gym, dancing…anything goes. Movement can help release emotions, induce positive thoughts and when exercising mindfully, you can enhance your mind body connection and deeply appreciate all that your body is able to do.

Forgive

You may feel your body has let you down, that your body wasn’t made for this, and that you are broken. Express these feelings to yourself, state them aloud or write them down. Never underestimate the magic of putting pen to paper. Then FORGIVE. Forgive yourself for this judgment. This can take some time and dedicated practise.

Then welcome in some gratitude. Constantly remind yourself of the wonderful things your body can do, of the things it does without any conscious thought, or the miraculous nature of our being and your amazing capacity to self-heal. Write or say “I forgive” and start to feel the shift. This forgiveness partnered with belief is a powerful antidote.

Raise Your Vibration

Everything is energy and as a divine being we need to put ourselves back on the charger to replenish and allow our energy to flow. Higher vibrational energy brings empowering thoughts, greater clarity, glowing health and basically good vibes! Connect with nature as regularly as you can. Make direct skin contact with the earth or sea. Become the observer. Take in your surrounds with all of your senses and really experience each moment.

Connect more deeply with your breath. Slow down. Add more ‘white space’ to your diary. Sit in silence. Meditate. Grand gestures are not required as it’s the little things we do regularly that make all the difference.

Soul Connection

In one of your moments of stillness, gently allow your mind to take you on a journey into your womb space. Simply observe what you notice. How do you feel? What do you need for healing to occur? What messages do you receive? Can you sense a soul connection with your baby?

Simply feel anything that arises. Breathing in deeply, letting the emotions wash over you. Experience them in their depth. Notice any judgement, and allow yourself forgiveness. Just allow whatever comes to be felt.

Explore Your Chakras

Dedicating focus to your internal energy centres can be your best way of moving through the energetic blockages created by your loss. Balancing your chakras is also a beautiful way to enhance your mind body connection, create greater gratitude for your physical body and to really get your life humming again.

Imagine breathing in a powerfully positive energy and allowing it to flow through your entire body, charging and changing you on a cellular level. Also a great tool for ‘protecting’ you from the quiet sadness you may feel when others announce their pregnancy or welcome a new baby.

Release Expectations

Keep your dreams and hopes very much alive without a fixation on the outcome. Incredibly difficult to do in these circumstances, as the heart wants what the heart wants. Resist the urge to lament the past or worry about what the future may now bring you. Share your desires with the universe, then find your own way to detach loosely from them and bring more focus to the present moment, for it is here that your happiness exists.
