8 Fabulous Homemade Hair Masks

Our hair is one of the best weapons in our beauty arsenal, but unfortunately as everything else in our body, it suffers the consequences from our busy lives and hectic schedules. For some reason we always associate hair care with expensive and time-consuming procedures performed in premium beauty salons.

But that is now always the case. There are numerous fabulous hair masks which we can prepare at home, which will not only enhance the beauty and softness of our hair, but also be easy to make, less expensive, quick to apply and absolutely natural.

Please keep in mind that these are all for dry and damaged hair. If your hair is not like that but you just want to give it a boost, please use them only for the minimum stated time.

1. Eggs All The Way

Ingredients:

2 eggs

2 tablespoons of water

Directions:

Beat the eggs and add the water.

Apply the mix to clean hair (a little damp) and massage thoroughly.

Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes.

Shampoo.

2. Shine and Shine Again

Ingredients:

3 tablespoons of olive oil

2 tablespoons of honey

Directions:

Mix the ingredients together.

Apply on your hair and wrap it in some kind of plastic film or a shower hat.

Leave on for a minimum of 30 minutes.

Shampoo and rinse well.

3. Cleopatra Style

Ingredients:Milk and Honey

1 tablespoon of honey

? cup of milk (full fat!)

Directions:

Mix the ingredients together and make sure the honey has completely dissolved in the milk.

Apply to your hair.

Leave it on for 15 minutes.

Shampoo.

4. Banana Milkshake

Ingredients:

1 banana

1 egg

3 tablespoons of honey

5 tablespoons of olive oil

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients together really well (for example in a blender).

Apply to your hair.

Leave it on for no less than 15 and no more than 30 minutes.

Shampoo.

5. Olive Oil Mix

Ingredients:Olive Oil

5 tablespoons of olive oil

2 eggs

Directions:

Whisk the olive oil and the eggs together well.

Apply to your hair by massaging thoroughly.

Wrap your head with a plastic film or a shower hat.

Leave it on for at least 30 minutes.

Shampoo and rinse well.

6. Strawberry Mash Up

Ingredients:

1 cup of strawberries

1 egg yolk

2 tablespoons of olive oil

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients together very well (in a food processor).

Apply to your hair by carefully massaging it.

Leave it on for about 20 minutes.

Shampoo.

7. Vinegar Surprise

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons of honey (preferably acacia)

1 tablespoon of olive oil (or almond oil)

1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients.

Apply it on the roots of your hair.

Use a comb to distribute the mix evenly.

Leave it on for about 1 hour.

Rinse thoroughly.

8. More Volume Please

Ingredients:

1 banana (ripe)

1 egg

? cup of beer (flat)

1 tablespoon of honey

Directions:

Mash up the banana and mix it well with the egg.

Add the beer and honey and mix again until it is all smooth.

Distribute the mix evenly on your hair.

Leave it on for a few hours.

Shampoo and rinse well.

As you can see, all these recipes are very easy to make and you will usually find all the ingredients in your fridge and cupboards.

There is no need to apply expensive chemicals to make your hair beautiful (not to mention they might actually do some harm?). These all-natural ingredients will achieve the same effect and cost you almost nothing at all!
