Think About Yourself This Valentine's Day
Are you alone this Valentine’s Day? And wondering why? Or does your current partner not pay you the attention you want them to?
It is your birthright to be healthy strong and vital, not to mention loved, joyful, and at peace.
Have you ever wondered why there can 2 people, who have the same sort of relationship, and one will be joyous and happy and you see them treating each other with respect and love and the other one may be hostile, angry and generally unhappy.
We call it luck or chance when we see this, or we say they’re in the honeymoon phase still.
I have another word for it “Intention”. One person intended to create their life and the other hasn’t put much thought into it. I believe when you get down to it that is the main difference. Now for the rest of this article It is my Intention to help you understand this in all areas of your life, the good bits, the bad bits, and the relationship bits.
Anger, fear and sadness are not normal; to understand this you have to take a quantum leap into a world that is so different to anything we can hope to imagine. This world is all around us and we don’t even know it’s there. It permeates every cell of your body, and we are all involved with it weather we like it, believe in it or not. This world is the infinite world of thought.
None of this is information is new! It’s been around since the beginning of thinking and writing those thoughts down. I have been researching this for some time, and I have implemented it in my life in many ways, with fantastic results.
William James who lived from January 11, 1842 – August 26, 1910 said:
The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitude of mind.
i.e. their thoughts.
Did you know? We have discovered neurotransmitters within the human body that actually explain how the mind-body connection works. Neurotransmitters are released from different glands; one is the hypothalamus (a small but powerful gland in your brain) it response to thoughts, beliefs and feelings and directly impacts and controls the functions of all your organs, cells, molecules and atoms.
This is now scientifically proven, a large number of medical studies demonstrate that negative thoughts lead to negative emotions and this plays a significant role in every area of our lives even the development of heart diseases, chronic pain, autoimmune diseases and cancer.
Fear is the biggie, followed by sadness anger, anxiety, and shame, which are all related to fear and all start with a thought about something, they drain our energy and suppress our immune system. We sabotage ourselves and our addictive behaviour keeps us stuck in old, destructive patterns. It’s all the non-supportive self-talk such as “it’s their fault”, “I can’t do this” or “I don’t deserve this” preventing us from accessing our full potential and achieving a life deserving of our self.
Correct thinking, and right action create a self-empowered attitude and optimistic beliefs stimulate and enhance the healing process, and every other part of our lives.
Negative emotions, inner conflicts and limiting beliefs are the most common factors that prevent us from changing, healing and succeeding.
There are some very simple methods of overcoming anything you are trying to heal in your life. The real problem lies with the fact that these somewhat “easy things to do” are also easy “not to do”. It all depends on how badly you want to change your life. It has been said we resist change, I believe we don’t resist change “when it’s our choice”.
So choose change over fear, change over anger, change over stress, and believe you can rise higher in life. Do a course, read some inspiring books that will teach you something about yourself, and start thinking about all the things you want to have in your life, health, love, and that great relationship, and your thoughts will actually become things, just as your thoughts have created your life to now.
