Welcome to our special Get Fit Issue – we look at how fitness applies to not only our body but our mind and spirit too!
We've all seen the advice on getting fit, but it's got to be more about moving your body don't you think? If it really was as simple as ‘calories in vs calories out' then there'd be so much more consistency in results but we have moved beyond that limited paradigm. We know the real game happens in the mind so we bring you lots of wisdom and real strategies to help you with your inner game. And fitness can also cross other areas of your life and we look at a few distinctions here too.
Firstly our happiness coach Sophia Husbands looks at her own relationship with her body and fitness levels, while our weightloss and wellbeing expert Pina Cerminara gives us some pointers on finetuning a weightloss program.
Body confidence expert Donna Richards helps us with tips on losing those last pesky kilos, and our LinkedIn expert and careers adviser Julie Holmwood puts our job search strategy through its paces.
Lisa Zawistowski, our expert in positive psychology, weighs in on the important angle of emotional fitness, and our guru for all things yoga Leonie Percy tells us why it's important to find an activity that we're passionate about to stay fit.
We finish off with two incredible fitness experts – Lyn Collett takes us for a spin with 3 tips to improve your running and Fiona Compston examines the benefits making your fitness routine a social one.
We're so excited to bring you our Get Fit Issue and love to share your journey towards better fitness and health.
